Sheharyar is currently Vice President for Asia Pacific Project Finance at Korea Development Bank (KDB) Singapore. He is responsible for origination, structuring, due diligence and financial closing of energy (power, renewables, O&G) and infrastructrure transaction in Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining KDB in 2014, he worked with Standard Chartered for 5 years covering structured finance transactions in Australia, Asean and West Africa.
He began his professional career in 2006 as a telecom infrastructure planner with the Norway based Telenor Group's operations in Pakistan.
He holds a B.Sc. in electrical engineering and an MBA and is a GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) qualified Energy Risk Professional (ERP).
He is the organiser and moderator for GARP Energy Risk Discussions, a forum for discussions on key issues in the energy sector in Asia and also writes on energy and infrastructure industry issues.
