Mina is a managing director at KPMG Japan. As a sector head, she leads KPMG Japan’s Energy & Infrastructure sector. Her clients include power & utilities, Japanese major trading companies, power machinery manufacturers and Japanese Oil & Gas companies. KPMG Japan, in close collaboration with our global sector network, constantly provides advisory services ranging from investmentadvisory to operational consulting.
Mina also serves as the head of Energy and Natural Resources sector for the KPMG in the ASPAC. In this capacity, she works closely with her colleagues in the ASPAC Energy sector in China, Australia, Singapore and ASEAN countries and Korea to provide solutionsto various issues in the transforming industry.
Prior to 2008, Mina headed SCI(commercial and business due diligence/strategic analysis& development) practice in Japan and engaged in commercial due diligence and strategic advisory in relation to numbers of M&A transactions.
She also has seven years’ corporate finance advisory experience, and had provided M&A advisory services to major Japanese clients , including many of cross border M&A transactions. She provided an advise on a major trading house’ consideration on the acquisition of global renewable IPPs in 2001. Also, teaming up with KPMG UK’s Corporate Finance Team, she supported a major Japanese engineering company’s disposal of boiler manufacturing /engineering company in UK.
She spent 10 years in the United States. After graduating University of Texas at Arlington with an MBA, she joined Arthur Andersen Dallas office and provided audit services to various companies including industrial and telecom clients as well as financial clients. She transferred to Arthur Andersen Tokyo in October, 1996.
