Khurram has been with GE for more than 9 years. He’s currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and leading the Turbomachinery & Process Solutions (TPS) business for Asia Pacific at Baker Hughes, A GE company. TPS is a leading manufacturer and service provider of gas turbines, compressors, steam turbines, electric motors, generators, pumps and valves in LNG, Off shore, On shore, pipeline, refinery, petrochemical and Industrial segments. Its 1.3 B$ business in Asia Pacific with 1,000 people based in 15 countries. Prior to this, Khurram has held several commercial and product leadership roles in Asia Pacific in last 5 years.
He joined GE in 2008 in a country sales role in MENAT region. Khurram held several commercial and business leadership roles based in Pakistan, Qatar and United Arab Emirates before relocating to Asia in 2012.
Khurram was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1979. He graduated with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 2001 and joined Exxon Mobil as part of their management trainee program. In beginning of 2005, he left Exxon and moved to Dubai, UAE and joined Emerson Electric. Khurram was part of the Asset Management group at Emerson Process Management division and worked in application engineering, sales and business development teams in Middle East & Africa.
